Goblin Warlock

The Goblin Warlock is the spellcaster among the goblin forces occupying the farmlands. Where its brethren rely on steel and arrows, the Warlock channels dark magic to hurl crackling lightning orbs at its enemies, and it is a genuine threat to an unprepared adventurer.

Behavior

The Goblin Warlock attacks at range, launching slow-moving lightning orbs that crackle with energy as they travel. The orbs carry the length of a room and hit hard on impact.

The lightning orbs travel slowly enough to sidestep if you are watching for them, and the Warlock has the health to keep throwing them while you do.

Location

A Goblin Warlock holds the middle of the farm:

• Glutton's Farmstead: One Warlock patrols the ground between the cottage and the northern fields, making it a hazard for players exploring the middle of the area.

Strategy

• The slow projectile speed makes sidestepping lightning orbs very doable; watch for the cast animation.
• Deal with the Warlock first when goblins come in a group; you cannot afford to be eating orbs while you fight.
• Toggle War Cry before engaging, to bring the Warlock down faster.
• It does not fall quickly, so open on it with something heavy.
