Ruby Ring

The Ruby Ring is a gold band set with a deep red stone, made for the Vanguard alone. It adds slash damage and fire damage, so the basic attack cuts and burns at once. It can also turn up carrying extra bonuses of its own.

Usage

A ring is never seen on the body, but its bonuses count all the same. The Ruby Ring suits a Vanguard who wants every swing to land harder. Its slash damage strengthens the basic attack and every slash ability, Whirlwind and Sunder among them, while its fire damage rides on the basic attack, so a sweeping swing burns every enemy it cuts through.

Its extra bonuses roll from the jewelry pool every ring and amulet shares, so a lucky ring can add more fire, another element's damage or health on top.

How to Obtain

• Drops: Any enemy or chest may drop a Ruby Ring.
• Merchant: The Merchant may stock the Ruby Ring.

Tips

• There are two ring slots, and a second Ruby Ring worn in the other adds its bonuses as well.
• Only the Vanguard can wear it. A Chevalier who finds one can still sell it to the Merchant.
• Check its extra bonuses before buying: two rings of the same name can roll very differently.
