Goblin Archer

The Goblin Archer is a ranged combatant among the goblin ranks. Perched in the far northern edge of the farm, these sharpshooters loose arrows at any adventurer who dares approach. Their danger lies in striking from a distance.

Behavior

The Goblin Archer keeps its distance and looses arrows from well across the field. The arrows travel at a moderate speed, giving an attentive player a window to sidestep them. It looses steadily, and being struck from across the field leaves you little you can do about it.

When a player closes the gap, the Archer backs away to keep its distance, but a determined player can chase it down.

Location

The Goblin Archer is posted in the far northern section of Glutton's Farmstead, standing watch over the open ground beyond the tree line. That is deep in goblin ground, so meeting one means you have already pushed north.

Strategy

• Close the distance quickly; their ranged advantage disappears in melee.
• Strafe sideways to dodge incoming arrows rather than running straight at them.
• Be careful not to pull both Archers and nearby goblins at the same time.
• A shield like the Simple Shield can help absorb damage while you approach.
• Ground Slam punishes an archer well once a Chevalier is in range.
