Simple Mace

The Simple Mace is a one-handed blunt weapon available to the Chevalier class. It turns the basic attack to smash, for players who would rather build around crushing blows than cutting ones.

Usage

Like the Simple Sword, the Simple Mace is a one-handed weapon that allows the Chevalier to equip a shield in the off-hand. The smash damage it provides benefits from the Crippling Blow prayer, which adds smash of its own when active.

Choosing between slash and smash damage is largely a matter of preference in the current game, though future content may introduce enemies with different resistances to each type.

How to Obtain

• Merchant: The Merchant may carry the Simple Mace in his rotating inventory.

Tips

• Pair it with the Crippling Blow prayer to stack smash damage from gear and prayers at once.
• What you are buying is the damage type, not the number.
• The mace is not a starting weapon; visit the Merchant to purchase one.
